I can't open or view the database I purchased. Why? Our pre-packaged databases are compressed in a "zip" format. This is a very common technique on the internet that makes the file smaller (usually about 80% smaller!) for faster downloading. You need a Zip program to open the file. Windows XP has a built in zip/unzip utility and that should work but you can also download a free trial version of WinZip at www.winzip.com. You do not need to buy it to use it, but the registration is only $29 and this is a very common, almost required, utility to have if you are going to be downloading files from the internet. I bought a database. When do I get it? There was a download link on the order confirmation page (the final page that appears after your payment was processed). Also, you should have been sent a "Download Instructions" email with a link to the same download page where you can download your database. I am having difficulty downloading my database. What can I do? Occasionally, there is a problem downloading a file. This appears to occur with extremely large files (some of our databases are over 100MB in size) and when firewalls or routers are involved.
