She attended Happy Valley Elementary, Stanley Intermediate, and Acalanes High School, earning letters in soccer, tennis, and golf, while also taking on leadership roles in the environmental club and student government. After returning to Orinda in 2007, she settled in Lafayette in 2014.

Ashley resides on the same street where she grew up with her husband, Lorne Smith, and their two young daughters. The family enjoys neighborhood walks, barbecuing, and dining out together. Committed to giving back, Ashley remains engaged with local schools and community organizations. She represents Village Associates as the real estate partner for the Lafayette Juniors’ Kitchen Tour and collaborates with Lafayette Partners in Education, donating a portion of her earnings from Lafayette transactions.

Academically, Ashley graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a double major in communications and fine arts. Her education also includes studies in architectural drafting, AutoCAD, and interior design in Florence, Italy, as well as postgraduate studies in international business at Bocconi University in Milan.

Before embarking on her real estate career, Ashley gained valuable experience through various internships and roles, including serving as the assistant to the showroom manager at Knoll in New York, working in public relations for a dot-com, spending a summer at Ketchum Advertising in San Francisco, and working for an investment bank. This diverse background in marketing, communications, business, architecture, and art history enriches her approach to real estate.
