However, in their forties, they made a pivotal decision to pursue their passion for art—a pursuit they had previously only explored casually. Their artwork has been showcased in galleries from Manhattan to Fort Lauderdale, and they also founded a unique retail concept called Artfully Chocolate, which combined an art gallery with a chocolate shop across four locations.
In June 2015, they transitioned from retail to real estate, leveraging their extensive knowledge of the area to become a Virginia realtor with Coldwell Banker Elite in Colonial Beach. They primarily serve clients in Northern Virginia and Colonial Beach, finding fulfillment in helping individuals discover their ideal homes. They also enjoy discussing how art can enhance living spaces.
Their artistic endeavors include various techniques, such as mosaics in bas relief and translucent acrylic on mylar and windows. Inspired by a quote from a 19th-century French philosopher, they believe in living life boldly and vibrantly, which is reflected in their colorful artwork.
An active member of the community, they have held leadership roles as president of the Del Ray Business Association and served on the boards of Visit Alexandria, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, the Torpedo Factory Art Center, and the MidCity Business Association in Washington.
