He holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from the University of Illinois Springfield and an associate’s degree in manufacturing technology with a focus on drafting and design.

With a deep connection to the University of Illinois, Jim dedicated twelve years to the U of I Police Department, where he honed his communication skills before transitioning to a full-time career in real estate. His wife, Kim, serves as the Storytelling Director for the Office of Advancement at the university, further solidifying their commitment to the community.
