After completing their education at Poway High School, they pursued Bachelor’s degrees at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Following graduation, both embarked on teaching careers within the Poway Unified School District. However, after careful consideration, they transitioned from education to entrepreneurship, launching their own real estate and loan business in 2002. They partnered with family friend Greg Reden to establish Priority Estates Realty and Priority Financial Group.

Since its founding, their business has experienced consistent growth, specializing in residential sales and acquisitions across Southern California, as well as residential purchase and refinance loans statewide. What sets Marcos and Rick apart from their competitors is their comprehensive understanding of real estate transactions, bolstered by their dual expertise in both real estate and lending. In addition to their professional achievements, Marcos and Rick are deeply committed to giving back to the San Diego community. Together, they have coached over 15 local youth soccer and baseball teams, developed an elementary school fishing program, and contributed thousands of dollars to local schools through donations of iPads, sponsorships, and cash contributions. Their business has enabled them to support both educational institutions and local organizations.
