In the winter months, he shares his expertise as a part-time ski instructor and coach at Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, serving as both an instructor trainer and a coaches' trainer. During the summer, his interests shift to sailing and golf, where his competitive spirit drives him to excel in both recreational and professional pursuits.

Recognized for his achievements, Rick ranks among the top 3% of producers within the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors and is also a top 10 producer at Sierra Sotheby's International Realty, which encompasses nine offices and 130 agents in the Lake Tahoe region.

On a personal note, Rick is happily married to Jill, whom he met while skiing at Squaw Valley. His dedication to leadership is evident in his role as Commodore of the Tahoe Yacht Club from 2016 to 2017 and as a Staff Commodore thereafter. A graduate of Western Colorado University with dual degrees in Business and Economics, Rick was inducted into the university's Sports Hall of Fame in 2019 for golf. He has held a California Broker license since 1989 and is a licensed Nevada salesperson. Additionally, he is a current Divisional Examiner and Trainer with the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
