Tom embarked on his real estate journey in 1981 with Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate in Kansas City, Missouri, where he concentrated on tenant and landlord representation for office and industrial properties. In 1987, after a series of promotions, he transitioned to Homart Development Company in Chicago, focusing on office tenant representation within the National Accounts Group. During his tenure at Homart, Tom managed over 100 accounts, including numerous Fortune 200 companies, and played a key role in negotiating more than 1.3 million square feet of commercial office space across the company’s national portfolio.

In 1992, Tom took on the position of Marketing Director at Homart, contributing to the construction and land development of the 3 million square foot Sears World Headquarters in Hoffman Estates, known as Prairie Stone. In 2003, he joined Prentiss Properties, a Dallas-based REIT, where he specialized in leasing the west suburban office portfolio to full occupancy and overseeing the final disposition of assets.

In 2007, Tom co-founded Commercial Property Advisors LLC, where he served as Managing Broker, offering comprehensive real estate services that included leasing, sales, asset and property management, and due diligence coordination. In 2020, he returned to Coldwell Banker Realty, joining The Ville team to assist with both residential and commercial transactions.

A former football player at the University of Notre Dame, Tom was part of the 1973 National Championship Team. He currently resides in Lisle with his wife, Julie, and their son, Matthew.
