Yvette Shipman is a seasoned real estate professional with a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted connection to the Lake Tahoe Basin. Her leadership capabilities are evident from her role as President of the Tahoe Sierra Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in 2010 and her tenure on the Tahoe-Sierra Board of Realtors from 2004 to 2011, where she was honored as Realtor® of the Year in 2005.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a BA in Social Sciences in 1989, Yvette's ties to the Tahoe area run deep. The Shipman family has been part of the Lake Tahoe community since 1987, providing her with a unique perspective on the local market. Her familiarity with the region encompasses the West Shore (Sunnyside, Homewood, Meeks Bay), North Shore (Tahoe City, Agate Bay, Kings Beach), the Nevada side (Incline Village, Glenbrook, Zephyr Cove), and nearby ski communities (Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar).

Yvette's commitment to community service is exemplified by her volunteer work as a Certified Adaptive Ski Instructor at the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School from 1998 to 2003, where she developed a keen understanding of accessible properties for families with special needs.

Before returning to real estate in Lake Tahoe in 1999, Yvette worked as a Financial Advisor specializing in Tax Advantaged Investments in Los Angeles. Her early career included gaining insights into the real estate industry as an assistant to a top-producing team in Walnut Creek, California, during the early 1990s.

Her international experiences, including studying as a Foreign Exchange Student in Espírito Santo, Brazil, have equipped her with the ability to communicate in Portuguese. Yvette's passion for real estate was inspired by her father's work as a Real Estate Broker in Laguna Beach during the 1980s, and her early life in Paris, France, continues to influence her perspective.
