Zabel, a lifelong resident of Gainesville, was born in 1977 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2000. Her early experiences in real estate began with her family, where she assisted her parents in managing a small apartment complex, gaining hands-on knowledge in various tasks ranging from administrative duties to maintenance.

During her college years, Zabel served as the resident manager of the complex. In 2000, she and her father, Ropen Nalbandian, expanded their portfolio by acquiring a larger apartment complex adjacent to their original property. Following her graduation, she embraced a significant role in the family business, becoming the General Manager of both complexes while also handling clerical and bookkeeping responsibilities for their real estate ventures.

Since then, Zabel has overseen substantial growth within the family’s companies, which have expanded to include a diverse range of rental properties, encompassing commercial, residential, and vacant land for future development. Currently, she manages over 300,000 square feet of commercial office and warehouse space, along with three apartment complexes comprising a total of 330 units.

In 2006, Zabel married Paul Thur de Koos, who serves as the Vice President of Operations within their business. Together, they have two children. In 2018, Zabel furthered her professional credentials by obtaining her Real Estate Broker License and established Lexis Real Estate Group, which offers comprehensive real estate services, including commercial and residential sales as well as business brokerage. She is committed to the continued growth of her companies, with plans for further acquisitions and development opportunities.
