Raised in Los Altos, he attended Oak Elementary, Blach Intermediate, and Awalt High School (now Mountain View High). He has built a life here with his college sweetheart, who teaches in the Palo Alto School District, and together they are raising two children and three dogs.

After spending a decade in West San Jose, David returned to Los Altos in 2000, where his children followed in his footsteps, attending the same intermediate and high schools he did. Remarkably, two of his former teachers in History and Spanish also taught his children three decades later. His commitment to the community is evident through his volunteer work at local schools, including co-chairing Blach’s 50th anniversary celebration and coaching and officiating water polo.

With a career in residential real estate that began in 1993 at Cornish and Carey, which later became part of Coldwell Banker, David joined the Sereno Group's Los Altos office in July 2018.
