Helen Nicholas, originally from Virginia and West Virginia, brings a wealth of personal experience to her real estate practice. Having moved to ten different cities across the United States by her mid-twenties, she developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in finding a new home. Over thirty years ago, she settled in Oakland's Montclair District, where she recognized she had found her true home.

Shortly after her relocation, Helen embarked on her real estate career, leveraging the skills she honed as a classroom teacher to effectively serve her clients. Her unwavering commitment to prioritizing her clients' best interests has earned her a stellar reputation, consistently placing her among the top producers at her firm since 1977.

In addition to her real estate work, Helen is actively involved in civic and professional organizations. She has served on various boards and committees and has been honored as Realtor of the Year by the Oakland Association of Realtors three times, with her most recent accolade in 2010. She is one of only two recipients of the Outstanding Leadership Award and was featured in Broker Agent Magazine, a respected industry publication. In 2008, she received the OAR "From the Heart" award, and in 2015, she was named Honorary Director for Life of the Oakland Berkeley Association of REALTORS.

Helen's commitment extends beyond local initiatives; she serves as a Key Contact for the California Association of Realtors, advocating for state legislators, and acts as a Federal Political Coordinator, representing the National Association of Realtors and the California Thirteenth District in Congress. She also holds the position of Director for the Piedmont Pines Neighborhood Association and serves as President of the Chi Omega Association at the University of California, Berkeley.

Helen earned her Real Estate Broker license in 1983 and obtained the Certified Residential Specialist designation from the National Association of Realtors in 1996. She is also recognized as a Certified Relocation Specialist and Distressed Property Specialist by Alain Pinel Realtors, and is a member of the President's Club.
