Mark Chacon, a lifelong Californian, grew up immersed in the family real estate business. His early years in the Bay Area were shaped by his father's successful career as a REALTOR®. After relocating to New Mexico, both of Mark's parents transitioned into real estate, further deepening his exposure to the industry. Assisting them with various tasks allowed Mark to develop a solid foundation in serving buyers and sellers, a skill set that continues to benefit his clients today.

Mark began his academic journey in Marketing at New Mexico State University, where he interned with Hewlett Packard in San Jose, California. His exceptional memory earned him the nickname “walking map,” as he became the go-to person for guiding HP executives and visitors around the Bay Area. His contributions were recognized with HP’s Diplomacy Award, reflecting his commitment to excellence in service.

In 2001, Mark transitioned from HP to pursue a career in real estate in Ventura. Prior to obtaining his REALTOR® license in 2004, he focused on mastering document preparation and mortgage loan processing.

In early 2005, Mark joined California Realty and the Ventura County Coastal Association of REALTORS® (VCCAR). His background in real estate marketing and business management has established him as a resourceful REALTOR® and office manager. Mark has actively participated in various committees within VCCAR, including serving as Chairman of the Local Government Relations Committee and the Budget and Finance/Strategic Planning Committee. He was also Treasurer and, in 2015, took on the role of President Elect. As a member of VCCAR’s Travel Team and a State Director for the California Association of REALTORS®, Mark has represented the organization at national conferences and engaged with local and state politicians to advocate for property rights and legislative matters affecting the real estate sector.

Mark is dedicated to providing knowledgeable and trustworthy service, always prioritizing his clients' best interests. He gained recognition as a featured REALTOR® on HGTV’s House Hunters in the episode “Venturing Out in Ventura.” His clients consistently commend him for his ability to educate them throughout the transaction process. In a dynamic housing market filled with challenges and opportunities, Mark offers a range of options to empower his clients to make informed decisions regarding their real estate endeavors. He is committed to ongoing education and staying abreast of market trends, believing that informed buyers and sellers are best equipped to navigate significant transactions.

Outside of real estate, Mark enjoys visiting national parks and historical landmarks. He has a passion for cooking, wine tasting, and exploring luxury cruise deals. Additionally, he remains a helpful resource for anyone seeking directions, often serving as an informal tour guide.
