Mark Ryan possesses a profound appreciation for Carmel-by-the-Sea and the Monterey Peninsula, with familial ties to the region dating back to the 1930s. His grandparents divided their time between Fresno, where they engaged in farming, and Carmel. Mark's father was a student at Sunset School in downtown Carmel, a site that now hosts the renowned Sunset Theater, a premier performing arts venue.

In 1967, Mark's parents, Mayo and Karlene, captivated by the area's charm since their youth, acquired their first vacation home in Carmel, where the family spent summers together. During the 1980s, Mark also lived with his parents in Pebble Beach.

Mark's academic and professional journey is extensive. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from California State University, Fresno, and began his undergraduate studies at Menlo College, where he played Division III soccer. His athletic prowess earned him recognition as an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association, and he was honored as the Most Inspirational Player during both of his collegiate seasons.

In the early 1990s, Mark joined his father and brother in the family’s agricultural endeavors, managing 3,200 acres of diverse row crops in western Fresno County. This demanding field requires a wide range of management skills, including planning, finance, and personnel relations, alongside the technical challenges of maintaining a fleet of farming equipment. Mark’s extensive background in agriculture has greatly informed his approach to real estate.

Mark began his real estate career as a licensed appraiser after relocating from Fresno to Pebble Beach in 2003, and later to Pacific Grove, where he lived for a decade. He appraised residential properties throughout Monterey County, from the affluent coastal areas to the agricultural heart of the Salinas Valley.

In 2004, Mark earned his real estate sales license and became a Realtor, joining forces with Paul and Nellie Brocchini at Coldwell Banker Del Monte Realty in Carmel-by-the-Sea. He quickly established himself as one of the top agents in the office.

In addition to serving numerous buyers and sellers, Mark has cultivated strong relationships with local lenders, mortgage companies, and fellow real estate brokers.

Currently, Mark and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Pebble Beach with their three children.
