Entering the real estate field in 2002 and becoming a broker associate in 2014, Melissa's path to this career was unexpected, despite her mother’s background as a REALTOR®. Her journey began when she became her mother’s buyer’s agent, and since then, she has consistently rolled out the red carpet for her clients. Melissa’s exceptional service has redefined client expectations, and her dynamic personality inspires those around her to pursue their own aspirations. In 2015, Melissa established The Avenue Home Collective as a collaborative space for like-minded agents who share her belief that the impossible can become possible for their clients. Under her leadership, the brokerage received nominations for BEST Brokerage in San Diego by the Union-Tribune in 2018, 2019, and 2020, while Melissa herself was nominated for BEST Real Estate Agent in 2019 and 2020.

Her love for the ocean has led her to sponsor the Surfrider Foundation, ensuring that California’s beaches remain pristine for future generations. Additionally, she serves as vice president of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), where she played a pivotal role in establishing a $10,000 grant program for first-time homebuying families.

Balancing her professional and personal life, Melissa is married to her high school sweetheart and is a dedicated mother of four. She is passionate about empowering other working mothers, having founded The Mompreneur Meetup and Momcation to foster community and support among mom bosses. Melissa has also shared her insights at the C.A.R. WomanUP!® conference, encouraging more women to take on leadership roles within the real estate industry.
