About Pamela Sweeney
A long-time resident of Sequoyah Highlands, Pamela is married to Dr. James Sweeney III and is a proud mother to one daughter, Kelly, and grandmother to her grandson, Andrew. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where she also earned a Certificate in Strategic Public Sector Negotiation.
Before transitioning to real estate, Pamela enjoyed a distinguished career in public service, holding senior management roles within the San Francisco Mayor’s Office under four administrations, including those of Mayors Alioto, Moscone, Feinstein, and Agnos. She further contributed to the City of Oakland as the Manager of Purchasing, overseeing all city purchases exceeding $500,000. This experience allowed her to refine her skills in contract management and negotiation, which have proven invaluable in her real estate endeavors.
Recently, Pamela earned the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation from the SRES Council of the National Association of Realtors, reflecting her commitment to serving the senior community.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Pamela is an avid gardener and fitness enthusiast. She enjoys traveling extensively and actively volunteers with the American Cancer Society. Her cultural interests are reflected in her memberships at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, which include the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor. She is also a member of the Oakland, California, and National Associations of Realtors.
