About Adam Roper

Adam embarked on a career in real estate after a chance encounter with a former colleague from the interior design sector at a CrossFit gym. This colleague, who transitioned from upholstery to a successful role as a Realtor at Works, spoke highly of the company and encouraged Adam to explore opportunities in real estate, drawing on their previous collaboration in a trade-only interior design showroom.

With a diverse background, Adam graduated with honors from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, earning a BFA in Theatre in 2004. During their studies, Adam discovered Bikram yoga and, motivated by a history as a varsity cross-country runner, pursued a 500+-hour yoga certification. This led to a full-time teaching career alongside an off-Broadway journey.

In 2008, Adam opened a yoga studio, navigating the complexities of launching a small business in New York City. This experience reignited a passion for problem-solving and creativity, particularly in designing a 3,000-square-foot commercial space.

Throughout this holistic career, Adam sought to blend physical wellness with spatial harmony, earning a feng shui consultant certification from the Feng Shui Institute of America, based on the Pyramid School of Feng Shui principles. In search of a change from urban high-rises to serene landscapes, Adam sold the yoga studio and relocated to the West Coast in spring 2016.

Upon arrival, Adam leveraged their expertise in art space planning and customer service by enrolling in the Heritage School of Interior Design in Portland, Oregon, where they obtained an interior design certificate. They subsequently joined Nest’s trade showroom, initially managing fabric and wallpaper sales before advancing to showroom manager.

As a Realtor, Adam is dedicated to helping clients discover spaces that inspire, nurture their lifestyles, and provide a sanctuary from the demands of daily life. With a foundation in artistry and holistic healing, Adam looks forward to collaborating with clients to find their ideal home.
