Allan relocated to Santa Rosa in 2018, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both the civil engineering and publishing sectors. Most recently, he served as Vice President at Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers in Mundelein, Illinois, where he spent a decade overseeing staff management, contract administration, financial performance analysis, and comprehensive marketing strategies. His responsibilities included crafting advertising content for various platforms, from websites to print materials, as well as managing sales and royalty arrangements. Concurrently, Allan developed his real estate acumen as the owner and manager of A-B Realty and Management, where he oversaw the leasing and maintenance of five office and warehouse units in Mundelein.

Before his tenure in publishing and property management, Allan enjoyed a successful twenty-year career as a civil engineer and project manager. His expertise primarily revolved around transportation projects, including highways, railroads, bike paths, and site development. In his role as project manager, he was responsible for client interactions, budget management, schedule oversight, design quality control, and coordination with environmental permitting agencies.

Allan emphasizes that his dual background in engineering and publishing equips him with unique skills in communication, regulatory compliance, and contract execution. His engineering perspective enables him to assess property conditions effectively and envision their potential.

Having visited the Santa Rosa area numerous times over the years, Allan and his husband have now made it their home. He is dedicated to specializing in residential real estate within Santa Rosa and the Sonoma Valley, focusing on building and nurturing relationships grounded in communication, trust, and respect—principles he considers essential for successful business practices.

In Chicago, Allan volunteered with Ravenswood Community Services, preparing meals for those in need. He looks forward to continuing this service at the Church of the Incarnation’s Sunday Open Table, where he has recently become a member. Outside of his professional endeavors, Allan enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking, hiking, reading, volunteering, and wine tasting. He is excited to embrace all that Sonoma County has to offer.
