### Professional Background

Since 1992, Allan has served as President and Principal Broker of Santa Ynez Valley Real Estate Company Inc. His leadership roles within the Santa Ynez Valley Board of Realtors include serving as President in 1995, Vice President in 1994, and Chairman of the Multiple Listing Service during 1993 and 1994. Additionally, he was a Director for the California Association of Realtors from 1993 to 1995. His diverse business experience also includes ownership of two grocery stores from 1990 to 2001.

He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors in Agricultural Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1987. Allan has also completed Dale Carnegie courses in Effective Speaking and Human Relations, as well as Sales. His real estate education encompasses a wide range of topics, including appraisal, property management, finance, and ethics, among others. He has further specialized in new home sales through the Certified New Homes Sales Professional Series.

Allan has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including the Man of the Year award from the Santa Ynez Valley Foundation in 2018 and recognition as Best Realtor by SYV News from 2012 to 2014 and again in 2016-2017. He was named Rotarian of the Year in 2014 and has been honored multiple times as a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary. His early career achievements include being named Realtor of the Year in 1994 and receiving the Wilbur H. Coultas Award for outstanding senior in the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois.

A resident of the Santa Ynez Valley since 1965, Allan was an active student leader at Santa Ynez Valley High School, serving as Student Body President and receiving accolades for his personality and potential. He has interned for U.S. Congressman W.O. Lipinski in Washington, D.C., and has traveled extensively across multiple continents. He is one of four sons of George and Sally Jones, and he is married with twin daughters.
