Amber Russell relocated to the Monterey Peninsula with her teenage daughter, driven by aspirations of establishing a new life. Over the years, she has built a fulfilling family life, marrying and gaining three stepsons, three dogs, and a forever home in Pacific Grove. Her professional journey has been marked by numerous awards, certifications, television appearances, and the founding of her own real estate brokerage, Over the Moon Realty Inc.

As a leading Realtor on the Monterey Peninsula with Sotheby’s International Realty Inc, Amber transitioned to create her own brokerage, where she has distinguished herself with designations from the National Association of Realtors. She is recognized as a Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and holds NAR's Green Designation, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability in real estate. Coming from a military family, Amber is dedicated to service, which is reflected in her commitment to donate a portion of Over the Moon's proceeds to local high schools. This initiative, called “Spread Your Wings,” supports scholarships for graduating seniors pursuing higher education out of state.

Rick Barnett, founder of the Master’s of Light Gallery, entrusted Amber with the sale of the historic Harry A. Greene Mansion in Monterey. He remarked, “Amber Russell is my real estate professional. When it came time to represent the sale of one of Monterey's most significant properties, I wanted to work with the best.” Notably, the property went into escrow within two days, attracting multiple offers above the listing price.

Originally from San Diego, where her father served as a U.S. Marine at Camp Pendleton, Amber grew up in Carlsbad. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, followed by two Master’s degrees in Education and Counseling from Pepperdine University. Her career includes teaching journalism and English, as well as counseling at both high school and community college levels. Additionally, she is a certified conflict mediator and a published author, having appeared on HGTV's popular show “Tiny House Hunters.” Year after year, Amber has been recognized as a Neighborhood Favorite on the NextDoor App, underscoring her strong community presence.
