About Ann MacLean

“You can go to heaven if you want … I’ll stay here ” ~ Mark Twain

When I close my eyes I hear the surf crashing against gigantic rocks and I smell the fresh scent of Douglas fir and cedar mixed with wild iris and azalea There’s a spawning stream outside my door that tumbles and falls over smooth stones and boulders that have been shaped by years and years of fresh running water There are fish in the stream and an eagle watches overhead

This is as close to paradise as I can imagine Living here is the completion of a dream

There is still room here in Brookings for those seeking a peaceful slower pace of life

When not looking at property or showing someone the secret haunts of the Southern Oregon Coast I enjoy river walking gardening and playing ball with a couple of great canine companions I live in what was once an old fishing lodge located on the Chetco River A salmon and steelhead stream really does flow right past my door and the edge of the Siskiyou National Forest is just a short distance away

Real Estate is also one of my passions And I work very hard at it It just doesn’t feel like a “real” job sometimes I am able to look at land and homes in an awesomely beautiful area Often I feel the sun on my shoulders and the shorebirds calling my name And I get to meet some wonderful and interesting people from around the world (People don’t move to Brookings because they have to – they come here because they want to!) It’s fun to take the knowledge I have introduce someone to this neck of the woods and maybe help with someone else’s dream

I was born in Michigan My work background includes marketing and sales for several destination resorts and working for a world class land developer and golf course architect I moved here from St Helena California but have lived and worked in San Francisco Los Angeles up-state New York and Nashville My mother was a real estate broker and forced me to get my first real estate license when I was 18

I’ve been one of the “top five” producing agents in the Curry County Board of Realtors for more than 14 years I work in partnership with Jan Loren and together we have developed a very rewarding successful and happy business

I hope you will join us for a rewarding adventure in Real Estate

Curry County, Oregon represents one of the most unique and geographically diverse real estate markets along the Pacific Coast. Stretching from the rugged coastline to the inland mountains, this southwestern Oregon county encompasses dramatic oceanfront properties, dense forest retreats, and charming rural communities that attract buyers seeking both investment opportunities and lifestyle changes. The market here operates distinctly from Oregon's major metropolitan areas, with seasonal fluctuations driven by tourism, retirement migration, and the area's reputation as a hidden gem for those escaping urban centers.

What makes Curry County particularly intriguing is its compact yet highly active real estate professional network. With exactly 104 total actively licensed agents serving the county, and remarkably, all 104 agents maintaining email contact information, this market demonstrates an unusually high level of digital connectivity and professional engagement. This complete email coverage suggests a forward-thinking agent community that prioritizes modern communication methods, making it an ideal market for businesses seeking comprehensive outreach capabilities.

Major Curry County, Oregon Real Estate Markets

Gold Beach serves as the county's primary real estate hub, offering oceanfront properties, vacation rentals, and retirement homes that capitalize on the area's stunning coastal access and the famous Rogue River. Brookings, the county's largest city, anchors the southern market with a mix of affordable family homes, commercial properties, and increasingly popular coastal investment properties. The "Pulse of America's Wild Rivers Coast" attracts buyers from California and Washington seeking lower property taxes and a slower pace of life.

Inland communities like Langlois and Sixes provide rural and agricultural property opportunities, while Port Orford has emerged as an unexpected hotspot for artists and remote workers drawn to its dramatic clifftop setting and affordable housing stock. These smaller markets often see properties move quickly despite limited inventory, creating opportunities for agents who understand the area's seasonal patterns and buyer demographics.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Curry County's real estate market operates on distinctly seasonal rhythms, with spring and summer months bringing increased activity from out-of-state buyers and investors. The area's geographic isolation, while contributing to its charm, creates unique challenges including limited inventory, higher construction costs, and property access issues that require local expertise to navigate effectively. Coastal erosion concerns and wildfire risk management have become increasingly important factors in property valuations and insurance considerations.

The market benefits from Oregon's lack of sales tax and relatively affordable property values compared to coastal California, making it attractive for retirees and remote workers. However, limited employment opportunities outside tourism and natural resources mean that many transactions involve buyers from outside the area, creating a market heavily dependent on agents who can effectively market properties regionally and nationally.

Why Businesses Need Curry County, Oregon Agent Contact Data

The complete email coverage among Curry County's 104 licensed agents presents exceptional opportunities for service providers, lenders, and technology companies seeking to establish relationships in this tight-knit professional community. Given the area's geographic isolation, agents here are particularly receptive to digital solutions, online marketing tools, and services that help them reach buyers beyond the immediate region.

Financial services companies, home inspection services, and property management platforms find success in this market because the relatively small agent population creates opportunities for personalized service relationships and word-of-mouth referrals. The fact that every licensed agent maintains email contact demonstrates a professional commitment that translates to higher engagement rates with relevant business services and partnership opportunities.
