About Anne Harrington

**Professional Background**

Anne's deep-rooted connection to Maryland dates back to the colonial era. Raised on the Eastern Shore, she developed a passion for sailing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay from an early age. After spending many years in Washington, D.C., where she excelled in hospitality sales and marketing, Anne relocated to Annapolis in 1992. Her professional journey also includes a role as a district sales manager for a prominent cruise line.

With a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, and customer service, transitioning into real estate was a natural progression for Anne. She obtained her real estate license in 2004 and has since cultivated a loyal clientele, focusing on downtown Annapolis, Eastport, and waterfront properties.

Anne is deeply committed to community engagement. She co-founded The Box of Rain Foundation in 2003, which has become an integral part of the educational offerings at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. This initiative provides local disadvantaged youth with opportunities to learn about boating, environmental studies, kayaking, water safety, fishing, sailing, and boatbuilding. Additionally, Anne has organized multiple regattas for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Maryland and co-chaired the 2001 Rolex International Women’s Keelboat Championship in Annapolis.

A strong advocate for community service, Anne currently serves on the board of directors for the Annapolis Maritime Museum and participates in the membership committee at the Annapolis Yacht Club. Sailing has been a lifelong passion for her, and she enjoys racing her Harbor 20, "Queen Anne," during Wednesday Night Races and charity events. Together with her husband, she also enjoys hosting gatherings aboard their downeast express cruiser, "Josephine." Residing in Eastport, they fully embrace the vibrant lifestyle that Annapolis offers.

Anne Arundel County's real estate market stands as one of Maryland's most dynamic and strategically positioned markets, benefiting from its prime location between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. This unique geography creates a diverse housing landscape that serves everyone from government employees and military personnel to waterfront enthusiasts and suburban families. With 5,340 actively licensed real estate agents operating throughout the county, the market demonstrates both robust activity and intense competition among professionals serving this coveted region.

The county's real estate dynamics are heavily influenced by its proximity to major employment centers, particularly the Baltimore-Washington corridor and Annapolis as the state capital. Communities like Severna Park, Crofton, and Odenton have experienced significant appreciation due to excellent schools and convenient commuter access, while waterfront areas along the Chesapeae Bay and Severn River command premium prices that often surprise newcomers to the market.

Major Anne Arundel County, Maryland Real Estate Markets

The Annapolis metro area serves as the county's crown jewel, where historic charm meets modern luxury in neighborhoods like Eastport and the Naval Academy area. Glen Burnie and Pasadena represent more affordable entry points while still offering excellent access to Baltimore, making them increasingly popular among first-time homebuyers. Meanwhile, communities like Arnold, Davidsonville, and Gambrills have evolved into upscale suburban enclaves that attract families seeking top-tier amenities and highly rated school districts.

The southern portions of the county, including areas around Deale and Shady Side, offer a completely different market dynamic focused on waterfront living and recreational boating culture. These communities often see seasonal fluctuations that don't affect inland areas, while newer developments in Crofton and Bowie provide modern amenities and planned community living that appeals to professionals working in the greater Washington metropolitan area.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Anne Arundel County's market complexity stems from its incredible diversity of housing stock and geographic features. Waterfront properties can command prices exceeding $2 million, while inland communities offer everything from historic colonials to modern townhomes and luxury condominiums. The presence of BWI Airport creates unique considerations for certain neighborhoods, while proximity to military installations like Fort Meade adds another layer of demand patterns that agents must navigate expertly.

Seasonal trends play a particularly important role here, with waterfront properties experiencing peak activity during spring and summer months. The county's school calendar significantly influences family-oriented transactions, while the federal government's budget cycles affect timing for relocating government employees. These nuanced patterns require agents to possess deep local knowledge and sophisticated market timing skills that only come with experience in this specific region.

Why Businesses Need Anne Arundel County, Maryland Agent Contact Data

Service providers targeting Anne Arundel County's real estate market need direct access to all 5,340 actively licensed agents, each of whom maintains current email contact information for business communications. From mortgage lenders and home inspectors to contractors and insurance providers, reaching these professionals efficiently can mean the difference between thriving in this competitive market or missing crucial opportunities in one of Maryland's most affluent counties.

The high concentration of agents relative to the county's size creates intense competition for referrals and professional relationships, making targeted marketing campaigns essential for businesses seeking to establish market presence. Whether promoting financial services, home improvement solutions, or professional development opportunities, having comprehensive agent contact data enables businesses to segment their outreach based on geographic specialization, experience levels, and transaction volumes that define success in Anne Arundel County's sophisticated real estate environment.
