This achievement earned her the Rookie of the Year Award in her inaugural year. In 1990, she shifted her focus to both commercial and residential real estate in Marin County, collaborating with Coldwell Banker and Frank Howard Allen until establishing Shimkas Real Estate in 2002.

In 2008, Audrey joined forces with Melissa Bradley as a Broker Associate in the luxury division of the Tiburon office, benefiting from the extensive resources and networking opportunities provided by one of Marin County's largest brokerage firms. She is also a designated Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), allowing her to adeptly address the unique needs of clients navigating generational real estate decisions.

Audrey's background in journalism includes serving as a front-page feature correspondent for the Marin Independent Journal, where she authored notable articles such as "Real Life Tales From An Exploding Housing Market." Her academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of San Francisco, which enhances her communication and negotiation skills.

Before entering real estate, Audrey held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Bank of America, where she honed her problem-solving and financial consulting skills while working with corporate financial officers from Fortune 500 companies.
