About Barbara Burnell

Barb and her husband Phil were introduced to Ironwood over a decade ago by close friends from Sun Valley, Idaho. After a 30-day trial membership at the Country Club in 2009, they recognized that Ironwood was the ideal place for them and subsequently became full members, establishing it as their desert home.

With a successful background as a real estate broker in Idaho, where she garnered numerous awards, Barb pursued her California Broker's License to continue her career in the community she cherishes. She currently serves as an Associate Broker in the Onsite Office at Ironwood, where her passion for helping newcomers integrate into the community shines through.

Growing up as the daughter of a military officer, Barb developed a knack for connecting with people, having moved frequently throughout her childhood. Born in Coronado, California, she has lived in various states and even spent eight years in Europe, where she taught social studies at Stuttgart American High School and GED classes to American soldiers.

Barb holds a BA in History and Psychology from Birmingham Southern College, along with further studies at UCSB, George Washington University, and the College of Idaho. She earned a Master's in Education and Counseling, graduating magna cum laude from Boston University. Her commitment to education extends into her real estate career, where she has achieved the status of a Global Luxury agent with Coldwell Banker.

Her professional accolades include consistently being recognized as a "Top Producer," and in 2019, she received the International Sterling Award from Coldwell Banker for exceptional performance. As a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) within Coldwell Banker's Global Luxury division, she has also earned the prestigious GUILD designation.
