Ben, originally from Syosset, New York, relocated with his family to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, in the summer of 1991. He completed his early education at the Benjamin School before graduating from the math, science, and engineering magnet program at Suncoast Community High School. Ben then attended the University of Florida, where he not only earned a degree in finance, graduating cum laude, but also joined the university's golf team as a walk-on.

Following three seasons of caddying on the Web.com and PGA Tours, Ben returned to South Florida to embark on a career in real estate.
