Benjamin, originally from the West Coast, spent his formative years in Wilmington, North Carolina. He later relocated to Raleigh to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at NC State University. After two years and a semester abroad at Melbourne University in Australia, he shifted his academic focus and graduated with a degree in Christian Ministry from the Morningstar School of Ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina.

During his eight years in Charlotte, Benjamin frequently explored the High Country, developing a deep appreciation for its stunning landscapes. This passion led him to purchase his first home near the Blue Ridge Parkway, which served as a serene escape from urban life. Within a year, he made the decision to relocate permanently to the mountains.

Benjamin's professional background includes eight years in retail sales, specifically as a Produce Manager for Food Lion across various locations in North Carolina. In 2009, he returned to academia at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2011. His interest in real estate spans many years, with the last six spent as an investor in both Charlotte and Boone. Prior to becoming a licensed Broker, he successfully bought and sold 25 properties, gaining experience in foreclosures, property auctions, land subdivision, short- and long-term rental management, owner financing, and home renovations.
