About Bill Baals

Raised in Deptford, New Jersey, this agent has strong ties to Chincoteague, Virginia, through her mother, who was born in the area. Her family's roots run deep, with her grandparents' home still standing on North Main Street, where her mother grew up. Having spent summers on the island and returning to New Jersey for school each fall, she identifies as a "Teaguer-hybrid."

In 2001, following her mother's passing, she and her partner acquired their first vacation home in Chincoteague in February 2002. They subsequently transitioned to a property in Wishart's Point, Atlantic, Virginia, before moving to Corbin Hall in Horntown, where they became permanent residents of the Eastern Shore in 2010. In 2017, after 34 years together, they celebrated their marriage at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Onancock.

She became a licensed realtor in 2014 and joined Dockside Properties, where she became a partner in April 2020. Beyond her role at Dockside, she serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Shore Association of Realtors and acts as the liaison for the Outreach Committee. Committed to community service, she plays an active role in the Warm Hands Warm Hearts clothing and food drive, collaborating with the Chincoteague Island Home for the Holidays tour each December.
