About Brent Barker

Brent is a licensed Principal Broker in Oregon with Coldwell Banker Commercial and holds sales licenses in Washington and Arizona since 2005. He earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts from California State University, where he was academically trained as a Nationally Accredited Exercise Physiologist. His early career involved working with professional sports teams, including the NHL, NFL, and Minor League Baseball, ultimately leading him to become a television spokesperson for a national fitness chain. In 2007, Brent successfully negotiated over 450,000 square feet in commercial real estate transactions, including long-term leases sold to LA Fitness.

Brent has a proven track record of implementing effective marketing strategies that have fostered a robust referral-based business. He has established himself as a project-oriented international professional, recognized for his expertise in relationship-building with both internal and external stakeholders.

As the Senior Vice President of Emerging Markets in North America, Brent specializes in the acquisition, development, and marketing of large-scale residential projects, including over 400-unit apartments and condominium conversions. His efforts have resulted in sales exceeding $500 million, bolstered by strong relationships with core banking groups, brokers, and investors across North America, as well as in markets in China, Japan, and Europe.

The 2008 sub-prime real estate crisis provided Brent with invaluable insights into risk management for his clients. He collaborates closely with real estate agents, appraisers, lenders, title companies, short-sale specialists, fund managers, and investors to restructure debt effectively. He is also certified in Private Capital Markets by Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

In 2009, Brent was appointed as the US-Asia Expo Ambassador for Arizona by the Phoenix Economic Council's International Trade Council. He received the 2015 Commendation Award for Public Service from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. As a dedicated public servant, he serves as a Sentinel for The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., and is certified by the Leadership Institute’s 2018 International School of Campaign Fundraising in Vienna, Austria. He has been a member of the Entrepreneur Organization (EO) for a decade, participating in the Washington, D.C., and Dallas chapters, where he collaborates with fellow million-dollar producers and entrepreneurs.

Brent is actively involved in his community, being a long-standing member of the Jewish Community Centers and an elected member of the Multnomah Athletic Club, recognized as a Top 5 Star Platinum Club of America. He founded the Circle of Peace Foundation and volunteers with Homes for Hope and Boys' and Girls' Clubs, while also fundraising for World Vision. His personal interests include international travel, hiking, snowboarding, and water sports. Since 2012, he has competed annually in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon to support the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Brent enjoys writing, photography, and indie film.

He has been recognized as a member of the “Coldwell Banker International President’s Circle,” which honors the top 5% of brokers worldwide. As a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the highest credential awarded to brokers and managers, Brent continues his education at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, focusing on Dispute Resolution.
