About Brian Copland

Brian, a native of Houston, Texas, began his journey in real estate at a young age, influenced by his father, Michael, a licensed appraiser and seasoned investor. Growing up, he often accompanied his father to various sporting events, absorbing insights into real estate discussions along the way.

In August 2000, Brian relocated to Austin to pursue his studies at the University of Texas. By the summer of 2001, he completed the necessary coursework to obtain his Texas Real Estate License alongside his mother, Faye. After successfully passing the state exam on his first attempt, he sought opportunities at several local real estate offices and ultimately began his career with University Realty in late September 2001.

During his inaugural year at University Realty, Brian distinguished himself as a leasing agent, primarily serving classmates, fraternity brothers from Pi Lambda Phi, and numerous walk-in clients. His success can be attributed to innovative marketing strategies, including participation in Greek chapter meetings and distributing flyers in dormitories and on vehicles. By his second year, he had earned a reputation as one of the most dedicated and effective leasing agents in the campus market. In July 2003, he completed his first sale transaction with the acquisition of his personal investment property, which bolstered his confidence to assist other investors in acquiring properties in Central Austin.

As a recognized expert in the greater Austin real estate landscape, Brian established Copland Realty after obtaining his Texas Real Estate Broker’s License and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies in 2004. Following a successful initial year, he partnered with Michael Said to co-found Premier Realty in May 2005.

Brian's practice has evolved to concentrate on serving both buyers and sellers throughout the Austin area. His extensive knowledge encompasses a variety of neighborhoods, including Tarrytown, Clarksville, South Austin, Downtown, Westlake, Travis Heights, Hyde Park, Allandale, Bee Cave, Lake Austin, and Lake Travis. As one of Austin's leading brokers, he remains committed to ongoing education, having completed over 500 hours of real estate coursework. Additionally, he is a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Brian enjoys quality time with his girlfriend, Brittany, and their two dogs, Ginger and Jilly. He frequently visits his family and friends in Houston and occasionally travels to Minneapolis to spend time with his twin nephews.
