About Bruce Chancellor

Craig, a Missouri native, grew up in a rural community reminiscent of the area he now serves as a real estate broker and owner. His early work included farm labor, where he earned pocket money by collecting black walnuts and milking a herd of sixty cows twice daily. As the first in his family to pursue higher education, Craig earned a double degree in finance and accounting.

His professional journey spans thirty-five years in the energy sector, where he held various roles in auditing, financial reporting, marketing, regulatory operations, and business development. Throughout his career, Craig and his family lived in several cities, including Wichita, Houston, and California.

In search of a new lifestyle, he transitioned to the role of controller and director of operations at a local winery in Floyd, Virginia. After five years in that position, he obtained his real estate license in 2020, dedicating himself to serving clients full-time. In 2023, he achieved his broker's license and established RE/MAX Dominion as its broker/owner.

Craig is actively involved in his community, serving as a board member of the Floyd County Chamber of Commerce, where he recently completed his third term as chairman. Additionally, he represents Floyd County on the board of New River Community College. Married for over forty years, Craig and his wife have two children and a grandson residing in Texas. His expertise encompasses residential, land, and commercial real estate, and he finds great fulfillment in his current career.
