About Carla Sevilla

Carla Sevilla embarked on her real estate career in 2001, shortly after graduating from Duke University and while serving in the United States Marine Corps. During her time at Camp Pendleton, California, she assisted fellow officers in finding suitable homes, laying the groundwork for her future in the industry. Following her military service, which included a deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Carla chose to fully commit to her passion for real estate.

She enrolled in the MBA program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a full fellowship and specialized in real estate development and marketing. During her studies, she co-founded Chanticleer Properties alongside Phil and Margaret Hinesley. Carla actively engaged with her peers, selling properties to fellow MBA students at both Duke and UNC, and soon expanded her focus to other graduate students seeking new homes.

Her expertise caught the attention of Centex Homes, now part of PulteGroup, where she was recruited to oversee their CityGroup operations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Carla quickly gained recognition for her contributions, earning the title of Employee of the Year in 2008. She was subsequently promoted to Vice President of Sales in North Carolina, where she received the Chairman’s Award in 2009 and participated in the Leadership Development Council. Collaborating closely with division leadership, she consistently maintained a strong sales performance, significantly increasing PulteGroup’s market share in the Triangle region.

By the time she left PulteGroup in 2012, the division had successfully sold and closed nearly 600 homes—more than double the volume of the next largest national builder in the area. Carla’s extensive experience equips her to adeptly represent clients in their search for new homes, providing insights into builder motivations and strategies for securing optimal deals. Additionally, she collaborates with investor clients aiming for superior returns on their residential real estate portfolios.
