About Carmen Murvin

Carmen, a native of Macon, Georgia, began her journey with horses at the tender age of five. A pivotal summer visit to Ocala ignited her passion for the region, leading her to establish deep roots there.

With extensive experience in the equestrian world, Carmen has raised Thoroughbreds and actively participated in hunter-jumper competitions. Additionally, she successfully operated a Western clothing store for 27 years, managing four locations across different cities before selling the business.

In 1987, Carmen ventured into real estate, focusing on the development and sale of mini-farms, successfully flipping seven properties alongside a significant portfolio of vacant land. This early experience fostered her enthusiasm for real estate, culminating in her licensure as an agent in 2005. Currently, she is engaged in the development of gated equestrian communities in Northwest Marion County, as well as the construction of new homes.

Carmen's family includes her daughter Madison, a naval officer, and her daughter Larsen, who recently earned a degree in accounting. In her leisure time, Carmen enjoys trail riding, cycling, and traveling. She is also the proud owner of two horses, one of whom is an impressive 37 years old.
