After nine years in Canada, she relocated to Long Island, New York, where she spent 14 years raising her two children. In New York, she worked as an office manager at an accounting firm and served as a case manager, assisting families in need.

Longing for the warmth of her tropical upbringing, she made the decision in 2018 to move to Weston, Florida, with her family, aiming to provide her children with a similar environment.
