About Cate Moye

Cate Moye' has been with Windermere Real Estate since 1992 where she began her career in real estate as the Sales Manager for Windermere/North Wall Street In 1995 she became Managing Partner for Windermere/Manito L L C and in 1998 Cate purchased Windermere / Valley Inc In May of 2006 she opened a second office in Liberty Lake as a boutique office to serve that growing community In addition to serving as Owner & Designated Broker Cate has her own successful residential real estate business and especially enjoys the marketing and sales of Premier Properties Having grown up in Spokane she has extensive knowledge and familiarity with many of the great homes and neighborhoods throughout the city

Prior to joining Windermere Cate retired from a career in the film industry serving as the General Manager of Skywalker Sound a division of Lucas Arts Entertainment Company Cate assisted with building the 100 000 sq ft post production facility at Skywalker Ranch and establishing the creative staff and studios as a premier Academy Award winning facility In addition to managing the sound post production for Lucasfilm productions she was responsible for marketing the facility to outside films studios producers and directors as well as managing productions and the facility personnel

In 1972 Cate was accepted to first class of girls at St Paul's School in Concord New Hampshire a school that had been reknown for 125 years as a premier preparatory school for boys Upon graduating with honors from St Paul's Cate received her Bachelor in Music degree from the School for the Arts at Boston University having pursued piano harpsichord composition and business

In addition to her work with Windermere Cate served as a Real Estate Commissioner from 2006 to 2018 for the state of Washington and is a chair of the Changing Business Practices subcommittee She is currently a Trustee for the League of American Orchestras is Vice President of the Spokane Symphony Endowment and past President of the Board of Trustees for The Spokane Symphony Orchestra In addition she served as Chair for the search committees of both the Music Director and Executive Director of the Spokane Symphony and has held the position of Trustee for St George's School the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture and the Spokane Opera Cate and her husband Peter are the parents of two girls and as a family enjoy traveling Her other hobbies include music of all kinds needlepoint and as a runner taking advantage of the many trails Spokane offers
