Chris Ray embarked on his real estate career in 1996 after relocating to Los Gatos from the Los Angeles area. He holds a degree in Construction Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and began his journey at Cornish & Carey Real Estate, where he served as an assistant to a top-producing realtor. During this time, he participated in over 100 transactions, totaling more than $50 million, before transitioning to Coldwell Banker in late 1999 as an independent agent.

In the dynamic market of 2000, Chris quickly established himself, closing 37 transactions in his inaugural year. Over the next six years at Coldwell Banker, he garnered numerous accolades, including the International President's Elite distinction from 2000 to 2007, recognizing him among the top 5% of agents nationally. He frequently ranked as a leading buyer's and listing agent and contributed to the mentorship program, guiding new agents who continue to thrive in the industry.

In July 2006, Chris seized a pivotal opportunity to become a founding agent and part owner of Sereno Group Real Estate in Los Gatos. Since its inception, he has successfully sold over $100 million in residential real estate and has participated in nearly 500 transactions, with a total value exceeding $200 million. Sereno Group has expanded to over 250 agents and six offices, earning accolades such as the Bay Area News Group's "Top Workplaces" recognition each year since 2010, and achieving the highest volume per agent in the Bay Area.

Beyond his real estate achievements, Chris has actively engaged in various community initiatives. He has served on the Board of Directors for Senior Housing Solutions for over a decade, including six years as president, helping to expand the organization from four to fifteen homes for low-income seniors. Additionally, he has been involved with the Los Gatos Little League, serving as a division commissioner and Vice President of Baseball Operations, overseeing operations for over 625 children each season.

Chris has also contributed to the San Jose Leadership Council, where he held the positions of Secretary and Finance Committee Chair. His involvement in leadership programs has fostered educational opportunities for local high school students and adults, covering various aspects of city governance and community issues.

Over his 17-year career, Chris has sold properties across 24 cities and five counties, with prices ranging from $75,000 to $14.6 million. He has assisted a diverse clientele, including first-time homebuyers, retirees, and executives relocating from major tech companies such as Apple, Google, and Cisco.

Chris has been married since 1998 and is the father of two boys, aged 12 and 10. He is an active member of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, Saratoga Men’s Club, Silicon Valley Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
