About Cinnamon Colony Chatman

With a deep-rooted connection to real estate, this agent's journey began in a household immersed in the industry. Growing up, their father operated a surveying business from home, providing early exposure to surveying and boundary line retracement. Their mother, a trailblazer as Mifflin County's first female Broker/Owner and Residential Appraiser, established her own real estate firm, further solidifying the family's ties to the field.

The family's real estate ventures expanded when the agent's brother persuaded their father to acquire approximately 75 acres in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Leveraging the equity in their home, the family successfully navigated the loan process, ultimately selling timber and the land itself, which sparked a 15-year partnership between the father and brother under the name FVH LTD. This partnership focused on purchasing large tracts of land, selling timber, subdividing, and reselling properties.

After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 1999, the agent joined FVH full-time, delving into land investment. They gained extensive knowledge in boundary line retracement, surveying, subdivision testing, utility negotiations, and property rehabilitation, among other areas. In 2001, they obtained their real estate license and began selling land throughout Pennsylvania, initially focusing on foreclosure properties that other agents overlooked.

By 2004, FVH had expanded significantly, covering areas as far north as Saratoga Springs, New York, and throughout West Virginia. Recognizing the need for a more convenient location due to extensive travel, the family relocated to Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, where they continued their real estate endeavors. During this time, the agent's mother launched Colony Realty Group LTD.

As the housing market began to shift towards the 2008 crisis, the agent's previous connections in the foreclosure sector proved invaluable. They successfully listed and sold properties that had struggled to find buyers, gaining a wealth of knowledge in the foreclosure market.
