About Darcy Dickenson

In the early 1980s, the agent relocated to West Cape May, where he has since established deep roots. His son was born in 1985, and the community has proven to be an excellent environment for raising children. The local K-6 school had just 48 students when Andrew began his education, allowing him to forge lasting friendships and develop a strong appreciation for the ocean. At the age of 11, he began working, starting a tradition of diligence that has continued throughout his life.

Living in an area with limited shopping options—where t-shirts and fudge do not qualify as retail—means that trips to the nearest mall, nearly an hour away, can turn into extended excursions. Before entering the real estate field, the agent worked night shifts, which afforded him the luxury of daily beach visits. This routine—waking up, enjoying the beach, preparing for work at 4 PM, and returning home by 3 AM—was a cherished part of his life.

Transitioning to a daytime real estate career has inevitably reduced his time at the beach and for leisurely reading. Last summer, he managed to visit the beach six times, but he is determined to prioritize it more this year. As he reflects on nearly 28 years in the real estate industry, he is reminded of how quickly time passes. This summer, as his son turns 39, he looks forward to creating new memories on the beach, reminiscent of those carefree days spent with his young son.
