From a young age, Darrena demonstrated a strong work ethic and determination to achieve her aspirations. She attended Campbell University, becoming the first in her family to earn a college degree.

Darrena began her professional journey with Chick-fil-A as a teenager, steadily advancing to the position of Owner/Operator of her own franchise by the age of 26. During her tenure, she received numerous accolades for her restaurant’s profitability and consistently achieved record sales growth.

After 15 years in the hospitality sector, Darrena’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community service inspired her transition to real estate. Her background allows her to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

In 2016, she obtained her REALTOR® license and shifted her focus from restaurant ownership to real estate entrepreneurship, with the vision of creating a team dedicated to exceptional customer service. In 2021, she officially launched Home Sweet Home Raleigh.

Darrena is deeply committed to her community, volunteering with various non-profit organizations aimed at combating homelessness. She also serves as a board member for the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Giving Network.

In her personal life, Darrena enjoys quality time with her husband, Ramsey, and their two dogs, Miley and Peyton. They frequently visit the coast to enjoy beach outings.
