About David Fahrner

Dave, a lifelong resident of Marin County, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA. He primarily serves clients in Sonoma and Marin Counties, where he launched his real estate career.

In 2008, Dave and his wife, Kate, relocated to Sonoma County, finding a home in Santa Rosa and the surrounding wine country. They enjoy leisurely walks with their dogs through local vineyards, cycling along scenic backroads, and indulging in the area’s diverse culinary and wine offerings. This deep appreciation for their community fuels Dave's commitment and enthusiasm as a REALTOR®.

With extensive experience in the residential real estate sector, Dave began his career in Mill Valley in 1997, focusing on home sales throughout Marin County. In 2003, he joined Coldwell Banker, where he served as Sales Manager and Branch Manager of the Greenbrae office until 2006.

In addition to his sales and management roles, Dave has actively participated in various REALTOR® associations, holding numerous leadership positions. He was the President of the Marin Association of REALTORS® in 2003 and served as a State Director for the California Association of REALTORS® from 1999 to 2004. From 2009 to 2012, he represented Sonoma and Napa Counties on the board of the North Bay Association of REALTORS® (NorBAR). Currently, he is a member of the NorBAR Education/Technology and Grievance committees. Since 2016, he has also been on the Board of Directors for BAREIS, the Bay Area Real Estate Information Service, which supports 8,000 members across six counties. Additionally, Dave holds the CRS® designation, a mark of excellence achieved by fewer than 4% of REALTORS® nationwide.

After two decades and numerous successful transactions, Dave remains passionate about his work and is dedicated to assisting clients with their real estate needs.

Sonoma County's real estate market represents one of California's most dynamic and geographically diverse property landscapes, where world-renowned wine country estates meet coastal retreats and suburban family neighborhoods. With 2,847 total actively licensed agents serving the region, this market reflects both the area's prestigious reputation and its complex mix of luxury vacation properties, agricultural land, and traditional residential communities stretching from the Pacific Coast to inland valleys.

The market's sophistication is evident in its comprehensive agent network, with all 2,847 licensed professionals maintaining email connectivity, demonstrating the tech-savvy approach required to serve clients in this high-value, information-intensive market. This complete digital coverage reflects the modern demands of buyers and sellers who often include affluent out-of-area purchasers, international investors, and discerning locals navigating property transactions that frequently involve unique zoning considerations, vineyard rights, or coastal regulations.

Major Sonoma County, California Real Estate Markets

Santa Rosa dominates as the county's largest city and primary real estate hub, offering everything from historic downtown condos to sprawling suburban developments in areas like Fountaingrove and Bennett Valley. The city's recovery and rebuilding following recent wildfire challenges has created unique market dynamics, with new construction commanding premium prices while established neighborhoods show varied recovery patterns. Petaluma and Rohnert Park serve as important secondary markets, attracting families and commuters with more accessible price points and strong school districts.

The coastal corridor, anchored by Bodega Bay and Jenner, operates as a distinct luxury market focused on vacation homes and investment properties, where oceanfront parcels and coastal ridge properties command millions. Meanwhile, the wine country towns of Healdsburg, Sonoma, and Glen Ellen represent some of California's most exclusive rural residential markets, where vineyard estates and custom homes blend agricultural heritage with luxury amenities, often attracting buyers from San Francisco's tech and finance sectors.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Sonoma County's real estate market operates across dramatically different price tiers and property types, from $500,000 starter homes in inland communities to $20+ million vineyard estates in premium appellations. This diversity creates complex cross-market dynamics where coastal property trends may not correlate with wine country patterns, and Santa Rosa's urban market operates independently of rural agricultural sales, requiring agents to develop specialized expertise in multiple market segments.

Seasonal patterns significantly influence market activity, with spring and summer months driving peak sales in wine country and coastal areas as buyers from warmer climates seek Sonoma's temperate weather and lifestyle amenities. The market also experiences unique pressures from wildfire risk assessments, with properties in certain zones facing specialized insurance requirements and disclosure obligations that create additional complexity for transactions and ongoing market valuations.

Why Businesses Need Sonoma County, California Agent Contact Data

Real estate service providers targeting Sonoma County's market require comprehensive agent contact information to effectively reach professionals handling high-value transactions across diverse property types. With agents specializing in everything from vineyard sales to coastal luxury properties, businesses offering specialized services like agricultural appraisals, luxury home staging, or wildfire mitigation consulting need direct access to relevant agent networks to build referral relationships and market their expertise effectively.

The complete email coverage among all 2,847 licensed agents enables efficient digital marketing campaigns and professional outreach, particularly valuable given the county's geographic spread and the tendency for agents to specialize in specific regions or property types. Mortgage lenders, insurance providers, property management companies, and construction services can leverage this comprehensive contact data to build targeted relationships with agents whose client bases align with their service offerings.
