About David Young

David specializes in assisting buyers and sellers across the western region of Houston, encompassing areas from Downtown to Katy and from Sugar Land to The Woodlands. A lifelong resident of Houston, David graduated from Memorial High School in 1980 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. Following his graduation, he traveled extensively before relocating to California, where he gained a diverse management background. His professional experience includes two years in residential mortgage brokerage, nine years in international trade management, and six years in enterprise software sales management.

In 2001, David returned to Houston, obtained his real estate license, and joined his father, David H. Young, in residential real estate sales. In January 2005, they established a team that brought together top-performing agents and skilled assistants to deliver exceptional service to buyers and sellers. Their efforts earned them recognition from the Houston Business Journal as one of the Top 5 Teams in Houston, consistently achieving sales volumes exceeding $100 million annually.

In October 2020, David became part of Compass, where he leads Young Realty Group, a team comprising three agents and a licensed assistant.

On a personal note, David and his wife, Brenda, are deeply involved in animal rescue. Brenda founded Save A Purrfect Cat Rescue, which, along with a dedicated team of volunteers, helps find homes for 250 to 300 cats each year. To maintain his fitness, David has practiced Tae Kwon Do since the 1990s and has been a member of the Houstonian Club since 2007. He also enjoys playing the drums as a way to unwind.
