His journey began in 2009 at the age of 22, during a challenging market downturn. Despite his youthful appearance, he was determined to establish himself in the industry.

Initially, he approached several brokerages along State Street, seeking opportunities to learn the intricacies of home sales. Many declined, citing their own struggles during the recession. However, one broker recognized his potential and welcomed him aboard. This brokerage thrived through diligent cold calling and door knocking, with a rigorous schedule that included outreach from 8 AM to 12 PM and client meetings from 6 PM to 10 PM. His mentor emphasized the necessity of hard work, advising that a successful real estate career required a commitment of no less than 60 hours each week, starting with role-playing exercises to enhance communication skills.

One pivotal moment in his early career involved a family facing financial difficulties in the U.S. They held dual citizenship in America and Canada and decided to return to Canada, entrusting him with the short sale of their home. Despite having limited experience—his previous listing was a mobile home—he successfully navigated this complex transaction in just 30 days, a remarkable feat given that most short sales typically took six to ten months for approval.

This experience laid a solid foundation for his career, equipping him with skills that are often overlooked by those who haven’t faced the challenges of a recession. In 2010, he was recruited by RE/MAX, joining the Orem office, where he was inspired to set ambitious production goals, even during one of the lowest points in real estate history.

Today, he leads a successful team of eight agents, collectively selling approximately 180 to 190 homes annually. He attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his wife, Julianne, who has stood by him through the unpredictable nature of the real estate market.
