Dedicated to community service, they actively participate in the Kern Desert Search and Rescue Unit, California City DIRT, and CERT. Additionally, they are a member of LACDECERT, which focuses on the evacuation and care of large animals during natural disasters, such as the frequent fires in Southern California.

An avid equestrian for over 20 years, they have owned their horse, Wendy, for 17 years. Wendy, a beautiful running quarter horse, is known for her gentle demeanor with both people and other animals. Together, they have been past members of the Marshall Canyon Mounted Assistance Unit.

In addition to their equestrian pursuits, they have a passion for auto racing and have competed in dwarf car racing for several years.
