About Dick Keenan

Richard Keenan and Narlene Carter Keenan are lifelong residents of California's Central Coast. Richard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before embarking on his real estate career in 1982 as an appraiser. His three years in this role equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of various property types, including single-family homes, income properties, raw land, and commercial real estate. Since 1985, he has concentrated on residential properties.

Narlene became a licensed realtor in 1987, focusing on representing both tract and condominium developers, as well as high-end custom home builders. In 2003, they joined Keller Williams Realty Central Coast in Pismo Beach, and the following year, they established Keller Williams Realty Coastal Valley in Santa Maria.

In 2001, Richard and Narlene founded the Keenan Carter Group. By late 2007, the group initiated foreclosure tours in San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara Counties, which garnered significant media attention. Notably, the tours were featured on "Good Morning America" and Richard participated in a live satellite interview on Fox News' Neal Cavuto program. Other media outlets, including Nightline and PBS's News Hour with Jim Lehrer, have also expressed interest in their seminars. In June 2008, Richard and Narlene were highlighted in CAR Magazine, further enhancing their visibility in the area.

Both Richard and Narlene are active members of several professional organizations, including the Pismo Coast and Santa Maria Association of Realtors®, the California Association of Realtors®, and the National Association of Realtors®. They are also involved with the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Arroyo Grande/Grover Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Grover Beach Rotary, where Narlene has served on the board for several years. Additionally, she is a member of The Five Cities Women’s Network Group.

In their leisure time, Richard and Narlene enjoy running and have participated in numerous half marathons throughout California. They are proud parents of two adult children and cherish their role as grandparents to an adorable grandson.
