About Douglas Bartke

Doug Bartke proudly identifies Texas as his home state, having grown up in the mid-cities area before relocating to Poolville in 2004 for a quieter lifestyle.

At just 19, Doug embarked on a 15-year career as a sales representative in the gift and collectibles sector, traveling extensively across Texas and Oklahoma. In 1988, he established Bartke & Associates, a manufacturer’s representative agency based in the Dallas Trade Market, where he collaborated with prominent retailers in the wholesale industry. His work involved partnering with leading collectible artists and companies to create and design retail programs for notable brands, including Thomas Kinkade.

From 1995 to 1997, Doug served on the Gift Board of Governors for the Dallas Market Center. Following the successful sale of Bartke & Associates in 2013, he shifted his focus to managing relationships with national key account retailers.

Seeking a new challenge, Doug turned his attention to the Texas real estate market. With 44 years of experience in sales and business, he is well-equipped to serve both buyers and sellers. His current emphasis lies not on a specific type of real estate but on providing dedicated support and attention to each client.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Doug enjoys spending time at his Deer Creek Ranch with his wife of 31 years. They share a passion for scuba diving, hunting, and fishing, and cherish moments with their three daughters, six granddaughters, one grandson, and one great-great-grandson.
