Before entering the real estate field, they spent several years as an entrepreneur in Russia. They earned an MD from Tomsk Medical University and practiced psychiatry for a number of years. Following the perestroika reforms, which opened new avenues for business while challenging the existing healthcare system, they established a series of companies that imported various consumer goods from Europe to western Siberia. Their leadership as President of the Chamber of Commerce in the Tomsk region coincided with meeting their husband, Larry, who was the CEO of an American firm involved in a joint venture in the area during the early 1990s.

In 2001, they joined the Coldwell Banker office in Orinda and have since earned several prestigious designations, including CRS, GRI, and SRES. As a Luxury Property Specialist, they focus on high-end real estate in Lamorinda. In 2004, they co-founded the Elena Hood Real Estate Group to broaden their service offerings and client reach. Their approach is grounded in meticulous preparation, ensuring that both buyers and sellers receive the highest level of support in today’s complex real estate landscape.
