Her journey to Maine was inspired by a passion for adventure, culminating in her arrival via a traditional schooner from the Caribbean, where she and her husband operated charter yachts. Recognizing Mount Desert Island as the ideal place to settle and raise a family, they have made it their home for the past sixteen years.

Residing in Town Hill with her husband, Wythe Ingebritson, who has built a successful career in the boat building industry with esteemed companies like Morris Yachts and The Hinckley Company, Beth is deeply rooted in her community. As a mother of two sons, Lucas and Nate, she actively participates in school and sporting events, further connecting her to the local culture.
