An East Bay native, she grew up in Danville and attended Baldwin Elementary, Charlotte Wood Middle School, and San Ramon Valley High School. After high school, she studied at Diablo Valley College, which included a semester abroad in London, before continuing her education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Following college, she spent a few years in San Francisco and the coastal towns of Pacifica and Moss Beach before returning to the East Bay in 2010. She and her husband chose to settle in a vibrant neighborhood in Lafayette, where they are raising their two children, Aidan and Penny. Their family is actively involved in local activities, and weekends often find them at various events or enjoying time at the dog park with their Mini Goldendoodle, Rocket.
