About Erin Baker

Erin's journey in Central Florida began when she relocated to the area to attend the University of Central Florida, a time when the institution was still relatively small. After earning her bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Burnett Honors College, complemented by a minor in Marketing, she embarked on her professional career at a local advertising agency. There, she specialized in niche marketing for homebuilders and community developers, including notable firms such as Morrison Homes (Taylor Morrison), Lennar, Centex, Newland (Terrabrook), and various regional boutique developers.

Following several successful years in the agency environment, Erin transitioned to a pivotal role as the Central Florida Marketing Director for M/I Homes. This position allowed her to manage the marketing efforts for 20 communities across the region, overseeing the merchandising of model homes and developing comprehensive marketing strategies that encompassed print, broadcast, and digital advertising. Additionally, she conducted in-depth economic studies that informed land acquisition and sales strategies.

Erin reflects on her time at M/I Homes as instrumental in deepening her understanding of the real estate sector's influence on the local economy, regional trends, and the overall quality of life for residents.
