Ferree has also contributed to her community through her involvement with the Junior League of Austin.

In 2003, she and her husband Chris relocated from central Austin to the Lake Travis area, where they are raising their daughter, a dedicated middle school student-athlete. Both Ferree and her daughter are active members of the National Charity League of Austin. In her personal time, Ferree enjoys playing tennis, traveling, reading, and participating in Bible studies.
