About Gerri-Lynn Fives

Before embarking on her real estate career in February 2000, Gerri-Lynn dedicated herself to serving in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy as a commissioned officer. Her military service earned her several accolades, including the Army Achievement Medal and both the Army and Navy Commendation Medals. In 1997, she was recognized as Civilian of the Quarter and Civilian of the Year at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, where she was also nominated for Federal Woman of the Year.

Gerri-Lynn's journey into real estate began in 1984 while stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, where she purchased her first home using her VA benefits after facing challenges as a single parent. This property eventually became a rental, laying the groundwork for her enduring passion for assisting military personnel in leveraging their VA benefits for home purchases.

After raising her two sons, Gerri-Lynn was inspired to become a REALTOR, driven by a desire to help others realize their homeownership dreams. She has applied the discipline, determination, and strong work ethic honed during her military service to her real estate career, earning numerous accolades along the way. In 2011, she received the Leadership Award from the San Diego Association of REALTORS, and in the same year, she was named REALTOR of the Year by the Coronado Association of REALTORS. Her commitment to ethics, integrity, and community service led to her recognition as the 2013 REALTOR of the Year by the San Diego Association of REALTORS, which boasts a membership of over 12,000.

Gerri-Lynn has consistently been honored with the Five Star Client Service Award from San Diego Magazine for five consecutive years. Her dedication to adapting her services to meet the evolving needs of her clients has been a cornerstone of her career.
