About James Cosenza

Upon meeting James J. Cosenza, known as Jimmy, several attributes become immediately apparent. He is a dedicated goal-setter, committed to fulfilling his objectives and ensuring that his clients become lifelong customers. His enthusiasm thrives in a busy environment, a trait that has consistently contributed to his success.

### A Path to Achievement

Jimmy's journey began in Eastchester, a community in Westchester County, New York. His high school years were heavily influenced by sports, where many peers leveraged their athletic talents for college scholarships. However, Jimmy chose a different route, opting to become a police officer in Mount Vernon, New York. His career was marked by a steadfast commitment to setting and achieving goals, which propelled him through various roles, including Community Policing, Street Crimes, and ultimately, Detective in the Narcotics Division.

Life, however, often presents unexpected challenges. Following an injury sustained in the line of duty, Jimmy had to pivot and redefine his career aspirations. Despite this setback, he remained passionate about harness racing, continuing as an owner even as he stepped back from training.

### Embracing New Beginnings

In 2002, Jimmy relocated from suburban Westchester to the scenic landscapes of Orange County, where his wife was raised. He candidly acknowledges the cultural shift he experienced, particularly noting the warmth and friendliness of the community, as well as the tranquility that Orange County offers. In 2014, he channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into opening Cosenza’s Gun Shop in Monroe. His commitment to customer service and negotiation skills have enabled him to uphold high standards in his business, with a focus on fostering lasting relationships with clients.

### Transitioning to Real Estate

With each milestone achieved, Jimmy moved closer to realizing his long-held interest in real estate. His and his wife’s purchase of their first home in Warwick, which later became a rental property, marked a significant step in this direction. The skills he honed throughout his career—attention to detail, investigative acumen, problem-solving capabilities, and a strong work ethic—are invaluable assets in the real estate sector. He remains dedicated to ensuring that every client becomes a customer for life, continuously setting and striving to meet new goals.

With a comprehensive understanding of both Westchester and Orange Counties, Jimmy takes great pleasure in introducing clients to the welcoming lifestyle he and his family have embraced. His unwavering dedication to providing exceptional service and securing the best deals for his clients underscores his commitment to excellence in real estate.
